If you would like to find out more about our childminding service, enquire about current vacancies or costs then please do not hesitate to give us a call. If we are able to cater to your needs then we can meet to discuss the care further.
We will show you where the children will be cared for, including the garden and you will see the safety equipment is in place. If our family are around they would be pleased to meet you.
You can read our OFSTED reports and look at our portfolio and photos over a cuppa! We will also discuss our policies and procedures which will include behaviour management and child protection.
If, at this stage, you feel happy that you would like us to care for your child, we will fill in the necessary documents, including a written contract and consent forms. We will explain about the accident/incident record book that we keep too.
However, if you feel you would like to go away and think about it, we can do all the necessary paperwork later. If you find our setting unsuitable, for whatever reason, we will be more than happy to give you names of other childminders in the area.

FACILITIES WE OFFER
The downstairs of my house is used for childminding and also the bathroom and toilet facilities upstairs. Also, we have a computer room where children may have use of the computer, including the internet, copier and printer, when supervised by one of us. We also have a back bedroom containing a travel cot for babies to have their daytime naps!
Outside, we have a large secure garden equipped
with a 10ft trampoline with a safety enclosure,
slide, bikes and other outdoor equipment.
We provide many outdoor activities such as trips to the moors, parks, beach, etc, as well as an occasional outing to the aquarium, museum, bowling,etc. We especially love going on picnics and playing outdoor games.
Indoor activities include books, puzzles, music, dressing-up, painting & colouring, singing, dancing, arts & crafts, baking, plus a wide range of toys to suit all ages.
Outside, we have a large secure garden equipped

OPENING HOURS
We can care for children from babies up to approximately 12 years of age, and as we work together we can also do school drop offs and pick ups where possible.

Our normal opening hours are as follows but we will try to be flexible wherever possible:
Mon – Fri 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
We do not care for children overnight or at weekends, unfortunately!We are open both in term time and school holidays but we do take up to 4 weeks holiday a year, where you may need to find alternative care for your child. You will have
at least 4 weeks notice of holidays and we may be able to help with alternative care by recommending an-other childminder in our area, as we all try to work together. We can offer a good home-from-home childcare service for your child and given the length of time we have lived in the area we are very well known in the community.

OFSTED REGISTERED CHILDMINDERS
DO YOU NEED TO FIND SOMEONE SPECIAL TO HELP SHARE THE CARE OF YOUR CHILD?
Both my husband Trevor, and I, are OFSTED registered childminders. We live in Honicknowle, Plymouth with our family, Liam, Aimee and Elisha. Our daughter Gemma also visits regularly. Trevor also has 2 sons, Terry and Tony, from his previous marriage, who we see most weekends.
We have lived here since 1990 and I have been a registered childminder since Nov 2000 and in 2005 gained my Plymouth Kitemark Certificate of Enhanced Registration. In 2011 I also passed my Diploma in Homebased Childcare with a Grade A. Trevor has been registered since May 2007 after being made redundant from British Bakeries after 22 years service. We have many years experience in childcare, having 6 children of our own between us! We also both hold a valid 1st aid certificate which is renewed every 3 years. We are both OFSTED registered and reports are available for you to read on request. Our last inspection was in 2008 and we received a 'Good' outcome which we were very pleased with!
We have 1 cat, Chief and a tiny very child friendly dog called Honey which is a cross between a chihu
ahua and pug.
